FoxBet Becomes 5th Online Sportsbook To Launch In PA

FoxBet Online Sportsbook In PA

The beginning of the NFL season is upon us and with it, the peak of the sports betting season. And that means that online sportsbooks in Pennsylvania are hoping to get in on the action. On Wednesday, the fifth mobile sportsbook in PA went live with the launch of FoxBet, a new name to the online sports betting world but with connections that will be familiar to all sports fans.

The sportsbook joins online sportsbooks from PlaySugarHouse, BetRivers, Parx, and FanDuel.

Who is FoxBet?

FoxBet comes via a recent partnership of Fox Sports and The Stars Group, the parent company of PokerStars and associated brands. The Stars Group’s in-house online sports betting brand, BetStars, has been shelved in favor of FoxBet, which should have a wide reach given the prominence of Fox Sports. The Stars Group has partnered with the Mount Airy Casino for their online sports betting license, meaning FoxBet will be the online sportsbook provider for the casino.

Last week, BetStars became FoxBet in New Jersey, where it has operated since September of last year. BetStars, with the DraftKings sportsbook, is the most popular online sportsbook in New Jersey.

In conjunction with the partnership, FoxBet will provide access to Fox Sports content as well as live scores, alerts, stats and more. The content provided by Fox Sports will include analysis from Cris Carter, Nick Wright, Cousin Sal, Todd Fuhrman, Clay Travis, Rachel Bonnetta, Charissa Thompson and Colin Cowhert.

In New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the FoxBet app can be downloaded by sports bettors using Android and iOS devices. Sports bettors will also be able to access betting lines through a web browser.

New Jersey players will also be able to easily access the PokerStars online poker room. Players in Pennsylvania will have to wait a bit longer as there are currently no online poker rooms that have opened in the state despite online gambling launching in July.

An online poker room available through PokerStars is expected to become available to players in the state by the end of the year.
