Raiders Vs Dolphins Is Loaded With Good Props

Week 16 NFL Betting props

Welcome back to player prop picks for this Sunday with lines from the DraftKings Online Sportsbook. Last week, we went 3-4. Over the past two weeks now, we are just 7-7, but for the season, we are still 57-43.

CEH, Aaron Rodgers, and Justin Jefferson all helped us cash last week, while Jamaal Williams got just one carry, Jerry Jeudy was barely targeted, and Kyler Murray completely destroyed our under with a massive game.

In Week 16, We’re focusing on the Miami vs Las Vegas game.

Results through Week 15

2020 Standard prop line record (Prop Lines & Sure Things): 57-43

2020 Unit standing Prop lines only: +14 (Longshots included): -9.5

Without further adieu, let’s get into the props for Week 16.

All odds according to the DraftKings Online Sportsbook (also, a “unit” represents a bet at a designated amount, in line with your bankroll. One Unit should be anywhere from 1-2.5% of your bankroll for conservative bettors and 2.5-5% of your bankroll for more aggressive bettors).

Prop line bets

Our Coin Flips for the week are back. Here’s the best on the board for Week 16.

Jonathan Taylor over 53.5 rushing yards -118

As daunting as the Steelers defense appears on paper, they’ve been shockingly mediocre against opposing backs the second half of the season. The loss of multiple linebackers has contributed greatly to this slide. As the season has gone down the stretch, Taylor’s usage has spiked.

The Colts are leaning on him more and more, as Taylor has freed space for the receivers to exploit opposing secondaries. The Steelers have an opportunistic defense when presented with a good situation. However, I think the Colts will rely heavily on Taylor this week and attempt to limit those defensive opportunities.

Tua Tagovailoa over 232.5 passing yards -112

Tua has a great matchup this week against a Raiders team getting shredded on the ground and through the air. The yardage total is simply too low. Realistically, Tua should have around 260 yards passing in a game expected to be decided by a field goal.

It’s not a slam dunk, but it would be hard to imagine Tua averaging under 59 yards passing in each quarter of this game. As much as I think the Dolphins will have success on the ground, Davante Parker and Mike Gesicki will be available for the game, so his passing weapons aren’t as depleted as you might think.

DK Metcalf under 70.5 receiving yards -112

Metcalf has missed this mark in both of his previous games. The last time these two teams played, Metcalf was held to just two receptions for 28 yards. Yes, DK can hit this number on just a few catches, but we’ll tempt fate in this tough matchup this week.

Sure Things

The “Sure Things” are exactly that. Don’t overthink them.

DeVante Parker over 3.5 receptions -134

Parker has a soft cornerback matchup in this game. The Dolphins are also thin on pass catchers overall. With a fairly balanced game script to be expected, we should see a good amount of balls heading his way.

Darren Waller over 55.5 receiving yards -118

Waller is the preferred target in a run-leaning offense. The Dolphins present many challenges for opposing running backs, so it’s wise to go with the bread and butter this week with Waller. He presents difficult coverage matchups all over the field. This is a pretty low floor for a target hog in a competitive game.

Mark Andrews over 48.5 receiving yards -112

Andrews has cleared this yardage in each of his last four games. He’s the top target for Lamar Jackson, and he’s a big reason the Ravens are hitting their stride on offense again. Andrews should be the focal point of the air game yet again in a tough matchup.

Mark Andrews over 3.5 receptions -159

Andrews should be the go-to guy in a tight matchup. His snap count and target rate should also be very high.

Longshots

Time to chase the dragon. We’ve hit five this year so far.

Pat Mahomes to score a touchdown +300

The Falcons are amazing against opposing backs. It’s not unreasonable to think Mahomes may get one on the ground via a scramble near the goal line.

Henry Ruggs to score a touchdown +350

Ruggs is always good for a deep ball attempt or two in a game. With a tough matchup against great corners, Ruggs is a good risk to take if the Raiders can’t find answers underneath.

Howitzer shot of the week

Durham Smythe to score first touchdown +1600

With Gesicki’s status still unclear for the game and the Dolphins already utilizing multiple tight ends around the goal line, there’s a lot of value to be had with this gamble.

Good luck this week!
