Pennsylvania Casino Revenue for November 2017

More good news for Pennsylvania casinos. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Monday released revenue figures for Pennsylvania casinos.

For the month, overall revenue saw an increase of 1.6% over the same time last year with table game revenue up 2.8% from last year.

A look at the numbers

The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem led the way with $44.2 million in revenue compared to Parx’s $43.9 million. The two casinos switched positions from the same time last year.

Below is a look at overall revenue as well as table game revenue for Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos. These casinos, with the exception of The Sands, are likely to be the biggest players in the online gambling market, when the games go live sometime in 2018.

Table game increases lead the way

While Sands generated more revenue than any other PA casino, Sands was the overwhelming leader in table games revenue, eclipsing $20 million during the month.

Overall table game revenue — with its average of 1,257 games in operation — represents approximately 28% of all casino revenue in the state.

While Parx (-4.73%), Harrah’s Philadelphia (-5.41%) and Presque Isle Downs and Casino (-9.93%) each had modest declines during the month on a year over year basis, Mohegan Sun Pocono (16.48%), Valley Forge Casino Resort (32.4%), The Meadows Casino (17.98%) and Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin (33.78%) all had increases in double digits.

Pennsylvania generated over $11.6 million in tax revenue from table games alone.
