Overview Of Valley Forge Resort Casino

Online gaming at Valley Forge

Valley Forge has partnered with FanDuel to run its sports betting operation and they have launched that sportsbook statewide in Pennsylvania. It is legal and available to anyone within the borders of the state and is 21 years of age or older. The gaming platform is accessable through any computer or mobile device web browser or through apps that operate on the Apple iOS or Android platforms.

Valley Forge also holds licenses for online casino gaming (slots, table games, poker) but these operations have yet to launch.

While you wait, you might consider giving the PA Online Lottery a peek. Players can win real money. What’s even better – new players receive $5 free to play.

What does the Valley Forge Resort Casino have to offer?

Located on the northwest outskirts of Philadelphia in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Valley Forge Resort Casino is the only full-amenity gaming resort in the region. It has two three-star hotels, a conference center, six restaurants, a nightclub, a pool, a spa, and a fitness center. In 2012, it opened the full-service casino, offering Vegas-style gaming to their guests.

Unlike most other casinos in the state, Valley Forge is one of only two that were licensed to operate in locations with (and as a part of) already existing resort hotels. As such, it operates under a different license with different limitations. Valley Forge is restricted to a maximum of 600 slot machines and 50 table games as a provision of this Category 3 “resort casino” license.

Prior to October, 2017, Valley Forge also suffered under another restriction. The only players allowed in the casino were those holding memberships, guests booked in the resort overnight, those attending a conference or private function at the resort, or those who have purchased (in the same day) $10 or more in resort amenities. When Pennsylvania’s lawmakers loosened gaming restrictions in 2017, they also allowed Category 3 license holders to opt out of this restriction by paying a $1 million fee. Valley Forge took the opportunity to relieve it (and it’s guests) from a very annoying and unpopular burden.

As a part of the same legislative action, Category 3 license holders can now also pay another $1 million to the state to add an additional 15 table games and $2.5 million to add up to 250 additional slot machines. As of yet, Neither of Pennsylvania’s “resort casinos” has exercised either of these options.

The gambling options at Valley Forge come down to 50 table games and 600 machines featuring slots, video poker, and keno. They also offer a wide assortment of promotions to their players. Sadly, they have no poker room, despite being close enough to Philadelphia to have a pool of locals that could probably sustain such an offering. Here’s a detailed look at what they do have.

Table games

Despite having only 50 table games, Valley Forge has a good variety of games and limits for players to choose from. They even have a special high limit table games area in the south end of the casino with four blackjack tables and three roulette tables. This comfortable lounge setting features a bar serving premium-brand cocktails.

Here’s the table games you’ll find on the casino floor:

  • Craps
  • Roulette
  • Baccarat (mini)
  • Blackjack (featuring the Match The Dealer and Super 4 Progressive side bets)
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Spanish 21
  • Three Card Poker
  • Criss Cross Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em

600 machines is small compared to most Pennsylvania casinos, but it’s still quite a few. Players here will find the latest slot varieties alongside traditional favorites at limits ranging from penny machines to much higher limits.

Here’s a few of the slots you’ll find on Valley Forge’s casino floor:

  • Bridesmaids
  • China Shores
  • Quick Hits Triple Blazing 7’s
  • Wheel of Fortune Big Money
  • White Orchid
  • Roman Tribute
  • Cash Man – African Dusk
  • Tarzan
  • Treasures of Troy
  • QuickHits Platinum
  • Fire Light
